Frost knew that he was on somebody else's territory but he didn't care. He knew it was a she-cat and he wanted to meet her. He sneaked through the underbrush, the she-cat's scent grew stronger.

Ko'vu, out on a hunt, scented the tom and growled deep in her throat. She sprang at him, yowling unintelligibly. Her black jaws parted in a death-bringing snap as her tawny paws left the ground.

Frost darted to the side when he saw the she-cat leap out at him. He didn't miss the attack intirely, the pretty she-cat's jaws skinned his shoulder. Frost yowled and leaped for the she-cat.

Ko'vu landed with a skidding slide. She was secretly impressed at the boldness of the other, so she didn't fight to kill. She only fought to pin him so she could examine this anomaly. But this proved to be harder than she'd thought. She had to use all her skills to leap, twist, and slip out of the way of the tom's slashing claws.

Frost launched himslef at the she-cat once more. He pretended to aim for her back but at the last second he twisted around and went for her paws.

Ko'vu underestimated and the tom tripped her. She hit the ground with a thump and looked up through watering eyes at him. "Well, you got me," she stated coyly. She was playing with him. She was able to easily squash this other cat, but she hadn't had a visitor in a while and if one squashed every visitor one had, well, there wouldn't be anyone coming around, would there?

"Yea right!" Frost laughed as he sat down and washed his face, all traces of aggression gone.

Ko'vu sat up and stretched. "Yeah, right. You did get me. I fell. Boom! Right there." She pointed with her tail at the dent in the grass where she'd lain. "See? You win. So, will you tell me why you fought so hard for the right to pass?"

"I don't know, I was bored and needed something to do." Frost admitted. He examined the pretty she-cat thoroughly. "Tell me. How come a pretty she-cat like you is out here all by herself?"

Ko'vu's ears grew hot. "This is my territory. I belong here. That is why I am here," she snapped, more harshly than she'd intended. It upset her when people questioned her.

"I was just asking, calm down. I might want to leave before I get my ears clawed off." Frost meowed as he stood up. Truthfully, he didn't want to leave but if staying there meant more fighting, then he probably should go.
